Rules for depicting depth on a Two-Diminsional surface 1. Largest objects placed low in the picture plane 2.The closer the object is to the viewer the more detailed it is. 3.Objects in the far distance are represented smaller than those in foreground 4. Objects in the foreground appear to be brighter colors than those in the distance 5. Objects in the front will overlap objects in the distance 6. Objects in the middle ground are smaller and higher in the picture plane than those in the background
