Elements of art are TOOLS that artists use to create art. It helps communicate visually. Line, shape, texture, value, color, form and space. So far we have seen how SHAPE can be used to break up space. We have used shapes and space to communicate meaning to a viewer and NOW we will use line to show space! BASICALLY YOUR OPTIONS ARE ENDLESS FOR THESE!

Tools used to show the ILLUSION of space on a two dimensional plane (paper) REMEMBER As things go further in space they do get smaller and darker As things get closer to you, they get larger and lighter

Three different view points Birds eye view- the view point is from above and looks down (example: your in an airplane looking down) Worms eye view- your viewpoint in down below (example: your sitting on the ground). Straight on view- view point is in the middle. (example: standing up at ground level). As the viewpoint changes, so does the horizon line

You will create a perspective drawing of a house. Create a relief print using glue and chalk Pay attention to size and space and viewpoint
