MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE SELF-ASSESSMENT Which question is more important: How smart are you? OR How are you smart? MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE SELF-ASSESSMENT For each statement, decide if the statement is "Not at all like me," "Not much like me," "Somewhat like me," or "Just like me." Write the number that describes you best in the box next to the statement. Then fill in your answers on the score card below. 1=Not at all like me 2=Not much like me 3=Somewhat like me 4=Just like me ____1.     I know and use as many words as-or more different words than-other people. ____2.     When it comes to arithmetic or math, I do as well or better than other people. ____3.     I can usually look at the parts of a machine and figure out how to put them together. ____4.     I almost always have a song going in my head. ____5.     I can throw at least one kind of small object (ball, dart, etc.) very accurately. ____6.     I like meeting people who are from different cultures, or who think differently from me. ____7.     I spend time trying to "make sense" of the world. ____8.     I like to understand and use words. ____9.     I like math story problems. ____10.   I am good at drawing picture. My pictures look a lot like the subject I am drawing. ____11.   I can usually remember the tune of a song I just heard. ____12.   I like sports, dancing and physical exercise.

MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE SELF-ASSESSMENT We’re all brainy! ____13.   I get along well with the people I work with. ____14.   I really do understand myself pretty well. ____15.   If I come across a new word, I usually try to find out what it means. ____16.   I am good at test questions that ask me to compare two different things. ____17.   Pictures usually make more sense to me than words. ____18.   When I hear a song with a complicated rhythm, I can always tap along. ____19.   I have very good control over my body. I can usually get it to do what I want. ____20.   I usually know how other people feel without them telling me. ____21.   I am pretty happy with the person I am. ____22.   I do a lot of reading on my own when I can. ____23.   I am good at thinking about several facts and arriving at a conclusion. ____24.   I could easily draw a detailed and accurate map of all the streets around where I live. ____25.   When I sing, I am able to stay on key. ____26.   I can learn new sports or dances easily. ____27.   I am good at role-playing, acting or charades. ____28.   There are some things that I am working on to improve myself. ____29.   I can tell or write stories that other people like. ____30.   I am good at games where I am given certain information and have to solve something. ____31.   I know how to draw my own clothes design on a flat piece of paper. ____32.   I often make up my own tunes or songs. ____33.   I am good at tasks that demand tiny, careful movements like threading needles. ____34.   I am good at getting other people to agree with each other. ____35.   I am usually aware of how I feel and why I feel that way. Place your score for each sentence in the box that has the number of that sentence. Then add each row across to get your totals. As in the following example: Verbal 1. 3 8. 2 15. 1 22. 2 29. 3      11   Score Card: Intelligence Total 1. 8. 15. 22. 29. Logical 2. 9. 16. 23. 30. Visual 3. 10. 17. 24. 31. But we’re all brainy in different ways…
