Tangible solutions  measurable changes in Programme area Purpose: linking projects and their results to the programme intervention logic Important to keep in mind the quality objectives (=selection criteria)!

Section C.1 – Project Relevance

Section C.1.1-2 C.1.1: Refer back to challenges or potentials mentioned in the Cooperation Programme document (section 3.2.2). Demonstrate how your project is relevant for all regions involved, how it addresses a need, and how stakeholders are involved. Quality objective(s): relevant, focused. C: 1.2: Refer back to the change sought as outlined in the Cooperation Programme document for the selected specific objective. Demonstrate that you are aware of the result sought by the programme and describe how your project will contribute to it. Quality objective(s): focused.

Section C.3 – Products and Services

Section C.3.2 C.3.2: Describe what is innovative about the products/services (outputs). Demonstrate that you are aware of the existing practice; the outcomes take into account the current situation in the sector/programme area/participating countries. Quality objective(s): innovative, relevant.

Section C.3.3 C.3.3: Describe why transnational cooperation is essential for achieving the project objectives OR what benefits the partnership/target groups/regions gain from the transnational approach. Quality objective(s): transnational.

Section C.3.4 – Target Groups List which groups your project outputs are targeted at and how you will involve them, to make sure the outputs will be used. We expect you to build stakeholder engagement into the project, e.g. in your (associated) partnership, your communications work package, or by having a work package dedicated to industry interface, if your end users are the private sector.

Section C.4 - Durability C.4: Demonstrate that you have considered how the project outputs and results can survive beyond the project lifetime, and what concrete measures will be taken during the project, e.g. developing viable business models, etc. Quality objective(s): viable.

Section C.5 - Transferability C.5: Describe concrete measures to ensure that the project outputs and results are transferable, e.g. how this will be taken into account in the product/service development. Quality objective(s): relevant, transnational.

Section C.6 – Links and Synergies

Section C.6.1-2 C.6.1: Does your project contribute to other overall EU or national strategies e.g. the EU Baltic Sea Region Strategy, the Maritime Strategy for the Atlantic Area, the EU Arctic Policy, the NORA strategy, etc. C.6.2: Is your project a follow up of previous funded projects? Does your project have links to other ongoing projects?

Section C.7 – Horizontal Principles The NPA is committed to integrate the horizontal principles into each priority and throughout the Programme as a whole Every project is required to take into account the three horizontal principles, and if possible contribute positively

Section C.7 – Horizontal Principles Does the project develop green business models? Does your project include young people/under represented groups? Or does it unintended create new barriers for specific groups? Does your project address specific gender problems in the periphery See Programme Manual section 1.3.5 for examples of activities

Section C.8 – Work Packages Two predefined work packages: Project Management: operational and strategy activities such as governance, daily management of the project and reporting and monitoring. Communication Activities: consists of external communication, and all other tasks associated with the projects outward project communication activities, dissemination tools, and associated communication deliverables.  mandatory communication tools in Programme Manual WP 3-7 for all other project activities. Each work package should outline how the work package contributes to the overall objectives and outputs of the project, and what the deliverables of the activities are.
