5 NPA 2014-2020 Priority Axis 1: Innovation (30%) Objective 1.1: Increased innovation and transfer of R&D Objective 1.2: Increased innovation in public service provision Priority Axis 2: Entrepreneurship (30%) Objective 2.1: Increased frequency and higher success rate of start-ups Objective 2.2: Greater market reach Priority Axis 3: Renewables and Energy Efficiency (20%) Objective 3: Increased use of energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions Priority Axis 4: Protecting, developing and promoting natural and cultural heritage (20%) Objective 4: Increased capacity to cope with major changes

6 The six specific objectives 1.1 Increasing innovation in low dense populated areas 1.2 Increasing innovation of public services 2.1 Increasing number and higher success rate of start ups 2.2 Broadening the market for SMEs 3.0 Higher energy efficiency in housing sector and public buildings 4.0 Enhance capacity building, resilient communities

7 Integrating Arctic into the new programme (the outcome of Preparatory project)  Instead of a dedicated priority for the Arctic cooperation, a mainstreaming approach is recommended  The descriptions of Specific objectives shall include ”Arctic themes”  Integration of Arctic partners in all relevant projects

9  The programme as such shall make an measurable impact on the entire programme area  Each project has to contribute to that in an evidence based way  The project outcomes (products & services), have to be “solutions” and have to be disseminated to the entire programme area and utilised by all relevant users From new products and services to specific changes
