Graphing Y axis = north to south line dependent variable x axis = west to east independent variable

Types of graphs Bar: measures comparisons of units Line: measures changes over time or comparisons over time Bar: measures comparisons of units

Controlled Experiment The comparison Does not go through change during investigation Always stays the same

Independent Variable (X axis) Variable that stands alone Never changed by the other variables The Topics (Independent variable) causes a change in (Dependent Variable)

Dependent Variable (the DATA) Y axis A variable that is depended by another to measure the amount of change the variable that changes by something It isn't possible that (Dependent Variable is measured. It does not cause a change in the (Independent Variable).

Warm up 8/12-13 What is an Independent variable? What is the Dependent variable? What is the Control?
