Dining Order 1.Hors Doeuvres : Or appetizer Theyre usually served first, sometimes with a small cocktail called an aperitif. Bread is eaten throughout the meal. Bread is a symbol of hospitality. 2. The Main Course: An elaborate meat or poultry dish accompanied by a vegetable garnish will be served. 3. The Salad Course : Consists of salad with small vegetables tossed among the leaves. 4. The Cheese Plate: They like cheese. 5. The Sweet Dessert Course : French desserts are usually sweet and fruity.

Dining Etiquette -In France, they believe that eating with your hands in your lap and elbows on the table is HORRIBLE! -Also, French rarely eat with their hands. Even with finger foods like fruit, they peel and cut it before eating. -When eating out, sharing food between friends is not polite or proper. -Dinners usually last anywhere between 2 to 4 hours because the meal consists of several courses that are served separately.

North France The north western region of France is recognized for its apples as well as its seafood. The seafood that is eaten most includes mussels and oysters. Cheese and sweet crêpes, with lots of sugar are eaten as well. In north eastern France the foods are more plain. They are made up of potatoes, cabbages, and beetroots. Charcuterie (cold meats) are eaten. Champagne is produce in this region.

Eastern France Located next to Germany, Eastern France takes heavy influence from its neighbor and has some of Germany's most commonly known foods. Eastern French people eat: Potatoes, cabbages and beetroots Cold meats Baked sweets Jams Mustard Snails Cheese
