Organisms An organism is a living thing. Plants and animals are organisms. All organisms have cells

Plant Cells Cells are the building blocks of life. Plants cells have a nucleus, chloroplast, cell membrane, cell wall, and cytoplasm.

Parts of a Plant The three parts of a plant are: the roots the stem the leaves

The Needs of a Plant In order for plants to survive, they need sunlight, water, minerals, and air.

Roots The roots are the part of a plant that grows underground. The roots help hold the plant in the ground. The roots also take in water and minerals from soil.

Stem The stem helps the plant stand upright. The stem supports the plants. It carries food from leaves to other plant parts. The roots carry water and minerals from roots. The stem is the part of a plant that supports the plant.

Leaves The leaves are the main food making part of the plant. It uses the sun's energy, carbon dioxide, and water to make food. The leaves takes in sunlight. The leaves have chlorophyll which it traps energy from the sunlight. It also uses a gas from the air called " carbon dioxide."

Life Cycle of a Plant The life cycle is the stages of the plant life. First it is a seed. Then it is a sprout.Next the plant is a vine. And then it is a young pumpkin. Finally it is a pumpkin.

Conifers Pine cones come from conifers. First the ripe seeds is from a large cone germinate in the soil. Then a new pine tree grows.Next it makes two kinds of cones. After that pollen from the small cone falls on the larger cone. Finally the larger cone grows with seed so inside.Ripe seeds fall to the ground.

Life Cycle of a Flowering Plant A flowering plant has a male part and a female part. First a seed might become a new plant. Then a new plant grows.Next the plant is an adult. After that the plant flowers.Insects, such as bees, carry pollen to the eggs. Finally flowers become fruits with seeds.
