2. Organisms An organism is a living thing. Plants and animals are organism. All organism have cells.

3. Plant cells Plant cells are the building blocks of life. Plant cells have Nucleus,Cell membrane,Chloroplast,and Cytoplasm. Plant cells also have a box like shape.

4. Parts of a plant The parts of a plant have seeds,leaves,stems,roots, and some have fruits and flowers. Plants need sun,minerals,water, and air to survive.

5. Roots Roots are the part of a plant that is underground. The roots help hold the plant in place. The roots also take in water and minerals.

6. Stem The stem helps hold the plant upright. The stem carries water and minerals from the roots. The stem also carries food from the leaves to other parts. The stem supports the plant.

7. Leaves Leaves take in sunlight. The leaves use a gas from the air could carbon dioxide. Leaves uses the sun's energy and carbon dioxide to make food. Leaves also have chlorophyll that traps the energy from the sunlight. Leaves are the main food making part of the plant.

8. Life cycle of a plant The first stage of the pine cone is a ripe seed from a large cone germinate in the soil. Next, a new pine tree grows. Then, it makes two kinds of cones After that, pollen from the small cone falls on the larger cone. Finally, the larger cone grows with seeds inside, and ripe seeds fall to the ground.

9. Conifers A conifer is a plant, but they make seeds in a different way. A conifer doesn't have flowers. Conifer's leaves are like brushes or needles.

10. Sunlight Sunlight is energy for the plant. The su gives energy to the plant so the leaves can make food

11. Minerals Minerals are naturally occurring substance that's not a plant or animal. The roots find minerals in the soil and give it to the other parts.

12. Heredity Heredity is the passing of characteristics from parents to offspring. New plants look like their parents because of heredity. Like purple corn.
