VIEWS Unhappy with the political leadership of the British establishment 1930s complained about Britain's foreign policy -appalled by what he called the "Government's supine attitude to foreign intervention in Spain" during Spanish Civil War Work was banned in Germany and Italy After the war it was revealled the German government asked British government to have "discussions with the notorious Low" in an effort to "bring influence to bear on him" to stop his cartoons attacking appeasement in 1937 Attacked in the press as a "war-monger“ Cartoons used during WWII to inspire the British people - official British War Artist.

Anti Appeasers ANTHONY EDEN Conservative 1935 appointed as Foreign Secretary. Disagreed with Chamberlain about how to deal with fascism in Europe 1938 resigned from office When Churchill took over in 1940, he was reappointed as Foreign Secretary.
