Umberto Bussolati dell’orto Umberto Bussolati joined Eric Salmon & Partners in October 2017. He has 20 years of executive search experience, both at Spencer Stuart and other International executive search firms, where he was focused on Board, TMT, Industrial and PE practices. In these positions, he successfully completed executive assignments across a broad range of functional areas. Previously, he was senior vice president for corporate development in the Olivetti Group, overseeing strategy planning and merger and acquisition activities. He also served as a managing director of an Olivetti company in the industrial automation sector and as a board member for several venture capital funds participated by Olivetti. From 1998 to 2001, Umberto was chairman of Lombardia Informatica, an information technology company owned by Regione Lombardia. Earlier in his career, Umberto was a senior consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton in charge of the business process reengineering practice in Italy. He also worked as a research professor in computer sciences and organisation management at the Polytechnic University of Milan. Umberto is a member of the advisory board of Innogest, one of the leading Italian venture capital funds and is active in not-for-profit organizations. Umberto has a degree in electronic engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan. Languages: Italian and English.
