Senior Daizha Tate-Edge was named by the Neighbor Newspapers as the Female Athlete of the Week in December Grant Drakeford named AJC 2013 All-Metro Football Team, Class AAAAA, Honorable Mention and All-North Metro Athlete Kory Gilliam All-North Metro Offensive Line Mrs. Diane Kopkas, the 2014 Riverwood STAR teacher selected by Ben Dolder, the Riverwood 2014 STAR student Riverwood Athletic Director Mike Santoro who was elected as Region 7-AAAAA Region Athletic Director of the Year by the principals of the region

Bragging Points On December 6th, 2013 ten FBLA attended a Sports Marketing Event with the Atlanta Hawks. Students who attended this field trip participated in a Hawk’s marketing competition, heard from various marketing professionals, and were able to attend the game vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers

This program is one of the most competitive and prestigious high school art recognition programs in the nation.

Bragging Points Junior Lila Claire Best finished 4th in State in the 200 Freestyle and 6th in State in the 100 Freestyle. Best also set two school records! The Girls and Boys Relay teams and Boys Individual Events set personal and season records at the 2014 State Meet.

Bragging Points Pascal Acree's Science project was published in the International Journal of Sports Science and Engineering. Senior Talon Robinson who qualified for the Wrestling AAAAA Individual State Championships which will be held at Gwinnett Arena February 13 through February 15. Talon is the first RICS wrestler to qualify for State in a long-time (according to the coaches). Television Broadcast News Team placed 3rd in SkillsUSA's Region 3 Competition. Bragging Points Congratulations to the Riverwood Chamber Orchestra. At their Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE), the group received a rating of 2 which is an "excellent" performance. They also earned a superior rating for sight reading. Congratulations to Mrs. Young, Mrs. Urban, and the Science Olympiad team as they finished 4th in competition over the weekend and will advance to State!
