Safety Policy [SP-02] revision 12 / 08-03-16, page 4 DON’T WAIT – REPORT RIGHT AWAY Even if you don’t need any medical attention we must know when there has been an incident (human injury OR property damage). This allows us to not only keep you healthy at work, but all those working around you. It’s a TEAM EFFORT. A NEAR MISS is when something happens that COULD have been a problem or create an injury but did not. We want to track these so we can hopefully prevent an actual incident from happening. REPORT ALL NEAR MISSES! NEAR MISS For every 100 near misses, we see 1 serious injury. If we report & learn from near misses we can PREVENT serious injuries from happening.
