Exploration Exploring your interests Naviance (Strengths Explorer, Goals, Learning Style Inventory) Clubs/Activities, sports, Journalism, Career Tech Ed classes, volunteering Courses and subject areas Exploring your learning style, study habits and time management We all learn differently…take notes of when you do your best…when was the last time you were under pressure or had a test and you preformed well? Why? What did you do to prepare?

Ways to get involved School related: ASB, yearbook, journalism, sports, music, theater, clubs, academic decathlon, robotics, etc Community service Work experience, paid or unpaid Career Tech Ed Pathways Internships, paid or unpaid Summer programs and activities Remember… Quality over quantity Take LEADERSHIP roles Plan summer activities wisely- do SOMETHING Start your resume now (Naviance)

Setting a Solid Foundation Simple steps to Organizing and Staying on Top Create a calendar Iphone, paper, online, in a binder, etc. Write out all assignments What’s due first, pencil in free time Studying Tips/Advice Mindfulness and self-care What’s your debrief and break?

Subject/A-G Requirements (a) History/Social Science: 2 years (3 years for BHHS) (b) English: 4 years (c) Math: 3 years (4 years recommended) (d) Lab Science: 2 years (3-4 years recommended) (e) Language other than English: 2 years of same language (3-4 years recommended) (f) Visual and Performing Arts: 1 year of same genre (g) College prep elective: 1 year = 15 units
