Plants By Karis DeAngelo

Organisms An organisms is a living things. Plants and animals are organisms. All organisms have cells.

Plant Cells Cells are the building blocks of life. Plant cells have nucleus, chloroplast, cell membrane, cell wall, and cytoplasm

Parts of a Plant There are three parts of a plant. They are root, stem, and leaves.

Roots Roots are the part of the plant that grows underground. Roots take in water and minerals. Roots help hold the plant in the ground.

Stem The stem is the part of the plant that supports the the plant. The stem is the part of the plant that carries food from leaves to other parts. The stem carries water, minerals from the roots.

Leaves Leaves have chlorophyll traps energy from the sunlight. Leaves are the main food making part of the plant. Leaves uses gas from the air - carbon dioxide.

Life cycle of a plant First, there is a seed and people plant the seeds. Next, the stem starts to grow. Then, the leaves start to form. After that, the leaves start to grow a lot.

Conifers Trees have different kinds of pine cones. Some plants don't have flowers. Some pine cones have pollen and some don't.

Life cycle of a flowering plant First,a seed might become a new plant. Next,a new plant grows. Then, the plant is an adult. After that, the plant flowers. Insects, such as bees, carry pollen to eggs. Flowers become fruits with seeds.
