Branding Go Ultra Low West – What are we working towards? Four Demonstration Charging Hubs  Expansion of the Public Charging Network  EV Car clubs  Demonstration vehicles Business Grants Fleet conversion support Policy guidance and business advice Go Ultra Low West is a £7m project in the West of England to increase the uptake of electric vehicles. The project aims to provide quality vehicle charging infrastructure and an opportunity for the public to explore electric vehicles. Project completion March 2021   Branding

Access to Business grants OLEV Workplace Charging Scheme. £500 funding per socket of each charging point installed at a business. GULW Local Authority business grant for employers to assist them with installing charging points for their employees and fleet vehicles to use. Up to £25k applications considered. The government offers up to £4,500 off the price of a new electric car, and up to £8,000 off the price of a new electric van.

Update on the West of England Charging Hubs By 2021 there will be four demonstration Rapid EV Charging Hubs in the West of England region Each Hub serves a different audience. They will be used like conventional fuel stations (drive in, pay, drive away) The hubs will be located close to amenities like shops and cafes

Achievements of NSC Fleet conversion and support available Carl Nicholson has been the Fleet and Asset Manager for North Somerset Council since 2006 - 2018. Target to complete 25% fleet to ULEV by March 2021 Achieved 40% by March 2018. Use local grants, make strong connections to dealerships and be aware of central government funding. Find an EV chargepoint installer you can rely on and work with. If ownership is not an option, vehicle leasing may be an option.
