In board Section most of the materials are synthetically manufactured (say as Composite) except some of veneers (veneer will be explained in detail in the wood section session). Details of all materials will be discussed one by one. 11/18/2018

1. Chip Board Explanation of Composite Materials Preparation: Chip board is prepared with crushed wood which is approximately useless with addition of some adhesives. Available sheet Size: The sizes are as: 8’ x 4’x ¼” 8’ x 4’x ½” 8’ x 4’x 3/4” 8’ x 4’x 1” Usage: Chip board is used in tops and shelves, wall panelling Density: 700-750 Kg/m3 11/18/2018

2. Hard Board Preparation: Hard board is prepared with crushed wood which is approximately useless with addition of some adhesives. Available sheet Size: The sizes are as: 8’ x 4’x 1/8” 8’ x 4’x ¼” Usage: Hard board is used kitchen and wardrobes Density: 700-750 Kg/m3 11/18/2018

3. Soft Board Preparation: Soft board is prepared with crushed wood which is approximately useless with addition of some adhesives. Available sheet Size: The sizes are as: 8’ X 4’X ¼” 8’ X 4’X ½” Usage: Used in Partitions 11/18/2018

4. Lamination Sheet Preparation: lamination sheet is pressed on hard board or chip board with some adhesives. Available sheet Size: The sizes are as: 8’ x 4’ x ½” 8’ x 4’ x ¾” 8’ x 4’ x 1” Usage: Used in kitchen and wardrobes, home and office furniture, paneling. 11/18/2018

5. Vin Board Preparation: Veneer is pressed on chip board with some adhesives. Available sheet Size: The sizes are as: 8’ x 4’ x ½” 8’ x 4’x 3/4” Usage: Home and office furniture, paneling 11/18/2018

6. Fire Rated Chip Board Preparation: Fire rated chip board is prepared as chip board with some additional materials which make it fire proof. Available sheet Size: The sizes are as: 8’ x 4’ x 1-1/2” 8’ x 4’ x 1-3/4” 8’ x 4’ x 2” Characteristics: Up to 30, 60 and 90 minutes fire has no effect on it. Usage: Used in doors 11/18/2018

7. Ply Wood Preparation: Ply wood is made by gluing together a number of thin veneers or plies of softwood or hard wood. The more veneer is used, the stronger ply wood becomes. Available sheet Size: The sizes are as: 1) 8’ x 4’ x 1/8” 2)8’ x 4’ x 1/4” 3)8’ x 4’ x 1/2” 4) 8’ x 4’ x 3/4” 5) 8’ x 4’ x 1” Usage: May be used inside or outside. Plywood is graded for exterior or interior use depending upon the water resistance of glue used to stick the plies together e.g. may be used in doors, kitchen and paneling Types: Following are the types of plywood: Commercial/Veneered ply Marine ply (also called water proof ply) 11/18/2018

8. Formica Available sheet Size: Formica sheets are available in different sizes in market which are used for different products formation. One of the sizes is: 8’ x 4’ and thickness 0.4, 0.6 and 1mm Usage: Used for luster look and decoration e.g. home and office furniture, doors and paneling 11/18/2018

9. MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) MDF can be shaped like massive wood, it provides faultless cutting, piercing and carving with CNC machines. MDF has many advantages over plank wood, particleboard, or high density fiberboard. It is very smooth because the wood fibers used in its manufacturing are uniform and fine IWM imports MDF from Malaysia and also locally purchased Preparation: MDF is prepared as pressing chip board with some adhesives and fine crushed wood. 11/18/2018

Available sheet Size: Sizes may be: 8’x4’ x ¼” 8’x4’ x ½” 8’x4’ x ¾” Usage: Home and office furniture, doors, jamb frames, paneling and ceiling. 11/18/2018

10. Cladding Available thickness Size: 1mm to 6mm Preparation: prepared by cutting natural wood into very thin layers. Available thickness Size: 1mm to 6mm Usage: to give effect of wood e.g. in doors and jamb frames, office furniture, and flooring 11/18/2018

11. PVC Lipping Preparation: it is prepared of plastic material. Available thickness Size: 0.4 mm, 0.8mm, 2mm Usage: used on edges 11/18/2018

12. Corian Sheet Preparation: it is prepared of plastic material. Usage: As it looks like marble so, used where to give marble look. 11/18/2018
