Resource Efficient Scotland We help business, and public and third-sector organisations save money by using resources efficiently. We provide free specialist advice, training, access to funding and suppliers, an in-person on-site support to help cut energy, water, waste and raw material costs. At the top we have a quote that shows what Resource Efficient Scotland will provide to organisations. I have highlighted some of the key words for you. We provide support to all organisations. It’s FREE specialist advice complemented with on-site support which will help cut organisations’ energy, water, waste, and raw material costs. The service consolidates aspects of non-domestic resource efficiency advice services previously provided by Zero Waste Scotland, Carbon Trust and Energy Saving Trust. It has been operational since the 1st April 2013 and the initiative is funded by the Scottish Government and managed by Zero Waste Scotland. Businesses taking action on resource efficiency can act to both comply with legislation and can act to protect themselves from the worst effects of this by minimising resource use and maximising the value of any resources they use. The benefits of taking action now are huge. It has been estimated that here in Scotland we can save £2.9 billion through cheap, simple resource efficiency measures! These savings come from organisations like yours. Through cheap and simple measures you can help increase your competiveness, increase job security, and improve your organisations reputation by reducing energy, water, waste and raw material costs. This support involves providing free expert consultancy support to tackle specific resource efficiency projects looking at Energy, Waste, Water and Raw Materials. Our experienced Implementation Advisors can then support you to progress them to implementation. Helping you to navigate the barriers you may encounter. Importantly, we don’t just support you with one project. Our aim is to support you with every aspect of resource efficiency – project by project.

ID drivers for change, market barriers and opportunities. Work with the right people – aim to work with decision makers with regards to investment, procurement and design. Also collaboration, strategic engagement. - working in partnership with the Scottish Government, Royal Institute for Architecture Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, the Construction Innovation Centre Construction Scotland, Scottish Futures Trust, Public Sector construction clients, Trade Bodies and the Buildings Research Establishment. Develop tools and training – promote what we already have and build capacity within the sector. How to use SWMP, DoW or even practical training like how to carry out a site waste audit. Provide a 1-2-1 service for SMEs - to identify opportunities to prevent and reduce waste or opportunities to use unavoidable waste materials in high value applications to help drive a Scottish CE. Communication plan and marketing strategy
