Journal Page 8: Characterization - STEAL Objective: To recognize the ways in which writers characterize their characters. Characterization: The means by which an author reveals characters’ traits through S.T.E.A.L. *speech, thoughts, effects on others, actions, looks

Journal 8 – right side Turn to your Table of Contents page and label page 8, Characterization – STEAL Label the pictures as shown on the side. Trace words in black ink. Color the handout and cut out the title and pictures. Glue down the title at the top of the page. Glue down the pictures on the page.
