Field Trip to Famous Memorials Fasten Your Seatbelt! The Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., was designed to recognize the service and sacrifice of all who served in Vietnam. There are 58,272 names engraved in a marble wall. It is simply designed and black in color.
