What is a statement of intention? Basically, a statement of intention explains the what, who, why and how of your piece. What you wrote about… Who you are writing it for… Why you wrote about it… How you wrote it…

For example… What – “I wrote an additional chapter which sees the main character ….*then go on to give a very brief summary of your additional chapter/film script/alternate ending etc*…. Who – “This additional chapter is intended for males aged 14-19 who have previously read the novel Doppelganger” Why – “I chose to write an additional chapter, with an interesting adventure which I wanted to explore with the main character of the text. My additional chapter incorporates an episode of bravery of the main character, not before seen in the text” How – “I chose to write an additional chapter for the text Doppelganger because…”
