Effects of Industrialization

What were some of the positive effects of industrialization we covered in History?

How has the automobile impacted society? Everything is connected, here is an example. How has the automobile impacted society?

Highways were created. Highway 30 Interchange

Jobs are created 1) Cars need to be built. 2) There needs to be people to construct the roads. That involves primary and secondary sectors.

Services stations are created. The tertiary sector is also involved with gas stations and restaurants going up.

Mechanic becomes a trade. With more cars we need people to fix them.

More cities and towns pop up cause we can get to them easier. Urban sprawl More cities and towns pop up cause we can get to them easier.

What positive effects did urbanization have?

What some negative effects of industrialization?

Here are some negative effects of the automobile industry.

Environment Cars pollute the air and contribute to greenhouse gases and the thinning ozone layer.

Running out of renewable resources We need so many materials to make a car and everything that goes with them. Many of the materials are not renewable. Like fossil fuels, coal, carbon..etc

What is an industrial park?

Definition It is an area zoned and planned for the purpose of industrial development. It makes it easier for industrial companies to trade and transport their goods to save money.
