Basic Classroom Rules Social Story

The teacher is giving information to the class The teacher is giving information to the class. The students need to hear everything the teacher says. When the teacher is talking to the class, the children are usually quiet.

Other students feel that listening to the teacher is important When someone wants to say something, they usually raise their hand and wait for the teacher to call on them

Interrupting the teacher makes other students angry. It is hard for a teacher to hear one student talk if everyone else is talking, too. Many times it is important for one person to talk at a time. In a classroom, people need to take turns talking.

When I want to say something or answer a question, I will try to raise my hand and wait if the teacher calls on me.

It is important to raise your hand to answer a question.

The teacher will be happy if I try to be quiet and listen. The teacher will be happy if I learn to raise my hand before I talk. The teacher will be happy if I try to be quiet and listen.
