The DCRU Library Presents: E-BOOKS!

Go to Internet Explorer and click “Library Search” from your favorites Go to Internet Explorer and click “Library Search” from your favorites. From home, go to http://library.deercreek.k12.ok.us/. 2. Choose “Deer Creek Rose Union Library” to access our library catalog.

3. Click the “Catalog” tab at the top left of the screen.

4. Type “ebook” in the search box and hit enter. The other option is to change Material Type to “Electronic book” and hit enter.

You can sort the results by call number to have all of the non-fiction items shown first. 5. Browse for the e-book you’d like to use. Click on the title of the book for more information.

6. Once you’ve chosen the book to use, click “Read Online” to open the E-book reader.

7. To understand the E-reader, learn the button functions. Search for a keyword or phrase Fit to height or width of screen Fit to height or width of screen Page choices View one or two pages at a time Take notes while reading Take notes while reading Zoom in or out Zoom in or out Read aloud (not available on all titles) Table of Contents Table of Contents Table of Contents Table of Contents Dictionary to look up unfamiliar words Close book so someone else can use it immediately Book Info including author, title, permission to copy, and more

8. Collaborate with your teammates or librarian to learn new ways to use E-books in your lessons.
