What is Title I? Title I, Part A is a federal program (Elementary and Secondary Education Act) that provides federal funds to assistance school districts and schools with high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards.

Palm Bay Elementary receives Title I funds and is a School-wide Program, which means all of our students can benefit from what Title I provides.

in Title I funds for the 17-18 school year. Palm Bay Elementary received $84,500 in Title I funds for the 17-18 school year.

Our Title I School-wide Program Plan A needs assessment was completed by analyzing all of our latest academic, discipline, and attendance data. After determining our greatest needs and considering the barriers preventing achievement, the following activities and expenditures were decided:

Activities and Expenditures Provide greater support to students for academics and behavior Paraprofessional support Peace First activities

Activities and Expenditures Provide professional development for the faculty and staff Books and materials for trainings and PLC’s Stipends for summer training Travel for conferences

Activities and Expenditures Provide workshops and improve communications with parents Materials for workshops Communication supplies

Our School-wide Program Plan Goals 80% of students in 4th and 5th grade will make learning gains based on 2018 FSA 100% of teachers visiting other teachers will implement at least one strategy for highly qualified instruction 80% of students in K-2 will have 95%+ attendance and no more than 0-2 office referrals
