2004 SAME Engineering and Construction Camp at the U. S 2004 SAME Engineering and Construction Camp at the U.S. Air Force Academy - Matthew Abbott Good morning, my nameis Matthew Abbott and I am a junior at Lake Braddock Secondary School. This summer I had the honor of attending the SAME Engineering and Constrruction Camp at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I greatly enjoyed this experience while learning about engineering principles, design techniques, construction methods and teamwork. In addition to learning an incredible amount I made some great friends from all over the country and even some who live overseas.

4th of July at USAFA After a good dinner we were treated to fireworks at the Academy football field.

Air Force Academy Tour The next day we started off with a tour of the Academy visiting the chapel, the campus, classrooms and ending up….

“Chow Time” - Not Bad! …eating in the cadet messhall. The food was pretty good too!

Getting Instructions Each morning we would meet after breakfast and receive instructions on the day’s activities and the projects we would be doing.
