Get to Know the Company Employees: Approximately 3,500 Diverse population: Line techs, engineers, power plant workers, customer care reps, etc. Facts: LG&E serves 407,000 electric customers and 324,000 natural gas customers KU serves 549,000 electric customers in Kentucky; also serves a small customer base in Virginia and Tennessee. Service area covers approximately 700 square miles. KU's service area covers 4,800 noncontiguous square miles.

Rural Mountaintops … . . Congested Urban Areas Our team members work in all types of weather factors. They work hard and long days doing dangerous work. This impacts not only how they but also their family’s ability to live a health lifestyle and utilize healthcare. For LG&E and KU, a culture of well-being can’t be created only within the brick and mortar of our walls. Our reach is much further. It’s in the office, trucks, and in their homes. This is why it was imperative for us to include the spouses of our members.
