Interview Meeting with potential employers to show your professionalism and hireability Only opportunity to make a good impression

Step # 1- Before the interview Scout out location Know how to get there How long it takes See how employees dress Ask questions about company Practice interview questions Arrive 10-15 minutes early Interview begins in waiting room Receptionist will be watching for unprofessional behavior

Step # 2- Dress for success Men Dark suit, slacks, solid colored shirt, Tie Socks should match slacks or shoes Hair Conservative No tails, braids or unusual colors Shoes New and polished Women Dress, Pant suit with solid colored shirt, slacks, skirt Skirt, no more than 2 inches above knee Hair Conservative No unusual colors Shoes New and polished No more than 2 in. heel Closed toe and heel

Step # 2- Dress for success Clothes should be clean and pressed Jewelry Conservative and simple No more than 8 pieces Tattoos- cover them Cologne/Perfume Light or not at all Carry notepad, pen ,copy of resume, references, job application

Step #3- During the Interview Greet interviewer by name Give a firm handshake Do not chew gum Use good posture Do not fidget Maintain good eye contact with everyone in the room Have well researched questions to ask about the company Keep your personal life private
