Air Force TA TA Policy Overview Grades Overview Degree Plan Overview MyCAA Base Access via AI Portal

Tuition Assistance Policy TA will pay up to $250.00 SH/$166.66 QH for classes on an approved degree plan. There is a $4500.00 TA cap per fiscal year. TA does not cover books/fees. TA must be approved 7 -45 days prior to term start date.

Tuition Assistance Policy-Cont’d TA can be used for one degree at each level—CCAF, Associate, Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree. Credit hours are capped at 124 Undergraduate credit hours and 42 Graduate credit hours. TA may also be used for pre-requisite courses if they are included on an approved degree plan. TA pays for postsecondary institutions accredited by a national, regional, or specialized accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (DoE). CLEP/DSST Exams: DANTES funds the first attempt at an exam; the civilian rate will be charged for additional attempts at the same exam.

Tuition Assistance Policy-Grades Institutions must submit final course grades though the AI Portal for each class in which active duty military airmen are enrolled using MilTA. Submissions must be made no later than 30 calendar days after end of term. Missing grades will result in the following for the service member: Reminder emails sent to service member at term end date, 30 days after term ends, and final notification 60 days after term ends with a 30 day suspense to resolve the issue. Failure to resolve results in reimbursement action. It is ultimately the service member’s responsibility to ensure all grades are posted prior to the deadline.

Tuition Assistance Policy- Reimbursements/Waivers Undergraduate Level: Grades of D or below will be reimbursed. Graduate Level: Grades of C or below will be reimbursed. Reimbursement is required for missing grades, non-completion, withdrawal, or unsatisfactory grades. Grades of “W” may be waived for extenuating circumstances to include: Short notice TDY or deployment of which there was no previous knowledge Immediate family emergency Personal medical issues preventing you from completing the class

Tuition Assistance Policy-Degree Plans After selecting their initial degree plan & school, students are allowed one degree change per level of education (Associates, Bachelors, Masters). Evaluated degree plans should include: Students name School info Degree program title All courses required for degree completion All courses evaluated for transfer (MUST include CCAF) NOTE: Students will not be allowed TA funding until their degree program is loaded in AI portal by the school
