10. FTA Cap Exemptions Transitioning Soldier
21 SH towards academic cert for soldiers Who possess a degree
Enlisted Soldiers must be within 3 years of ETS
Officers still have service obligation

After 6 SH, Soldiers need to complete course planner and upload degree plan
Online degree audits from student account preferred

12. Soldier Responsibility
Time Restrictions
FTA requests can be submitted up to 60 days prior to course start date
Course requests MUST be APPROVED before course start date
Requests must be submitted 5 business days prior to course start date
If a course is requested even one day late, FTA cannot be approved

Submit official transcripts from any college previously attended
Can be obtained by previous colleges registrar

16. Withdraw for Military Reasons
1. Unanticipated military mission, to include unanticipated Federal or State missions for National Guard Soldiers who are involuntarily mobilized
2. Emergency leave
Death of a family member
Illness/hospitalization as endorsed by my Battalion Commander or first LTC in the chain of command; or by my Unit Commander if in the Reserve Component for each class.

IMPORTANT! You are required to initiate all drops and withdrawals from classes through GoArmyEd PRIOR to the class end date. 16
