Project Signs by the Roadside The signs we leave after us will not escape the destiny of everything human - transience and oblivion. They may never be noticed at all and perhaps no one will understand them. But still, they are necessary, just as it is natural and necessary that we should open our hearts and communicate with others. If these small obscure signs do not save us from disorientation and all kinds of trials, they can at least make them easier, and help us in so far as they convince us that, in everything we do, we are not alone, nor the first, nor unique...

Project Signs by the Roadside People who founded the company "Drina film" have few successful projects done together with company "Balkan film" from Banja Luka. Both production companies are founded with intention to develop and affirm cooperation between cinematographies of former Yugoslav republics. A group of actors from Belgrade, utterly unaware of what theyre setting themselves up for, embark on a search for quick earnings – on a tour around the Serbian Krajina. However, there they are thrust into the heart of war and begin to wander from warfront to warfront, from one army to the next... Film The Tour written and directed by Goran Marković, was realized in co-production with Testament filmS from Belgrade. The shooting started in December 2007 and ended in February 2008, at locations in the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia-Herzegovina (Derventa, Šamac, Prijedor, Novi Grad and Kozarska Dubica) and in Belgrade.

Also, the team of The Tour consisted of several actors from former Yugoslavia, currently or permanently residing in the United States. As already mentioned, the aim of the producers was, by teaming high professional persons from the world of film from all the various republics and regions, to create effective film, and at the same time restore broken connections.

SOME OTHER STORIES – THE SERBIAN STORY Film project "Some other stories" was launched five years ago and it includes producers and young filmmakers from all over former Yugoslavia. The project is based on the belief that it is necessary and possible to reanimate the cultural space of former Yugoslavia and the new basis, who would not be burdened by the recent conflicts. In omnibus form, the project brings together five stories that reflect the sensibility of the young generation, their dilemmas, doubts, hopes, relationships towards the actual problems that young people face in their communities today. The creative leader of this project SEE Film Pro recruited five young directors from Belgrade, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Sarajevo and Skopje, with an aim that each write and direct one story - a segment in the omnibus.

Each story has a thematic connection - everyday problems of people residing in the former Yugoslav republics. Considering that all directors are women, the stories are focused on the problems of women, mostly about motherhood and birth. Directors which did this omnibus are Ana Maria Rossi (Belgrade, Serbia), Ivona Juka (Zagreb, Croatia), Hanna A. W. Slak (Ljubljana, Slovenia), Maria Džidževa (Skopje, Macedonia) and Ines Tanović (Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina). references references

Project Signs by the Roadside This project is conceived as a documentary story told by the narrator who travels around the world and encounters collocutors in various situations: at a market, fair, wedding, factory, shopping center, promenade... Beside him is his faithfull companion, also the collocutor (Cervantess Sancho Pansa) which performs various ancillary tasks and listens carefully to his speeches, learning how to recognize and interpret the signs of life. Implementation plan of the project is 2009/2010. Our wish is to start broadcasting on October 26th, the 50th anniversary of Ivo Andrić receiving the Nobel Prize in Stockholm. Tihomir Stanić, who played the character of Ivo Andrić many times in his career, would also be cast in this TV series. Select from the review of monodrama The Bridge on the Drina: "Narration, as almost forgotten form of theater and social communications, is affirmed again in our cultural life through this project. Stanić convincingly leads us through this exciting story of Mehmed Pasha Sokolović, his bridge and suffering, consistently respecting Andrićs sentences. The fact is that Stanićs appearance on the scene reminiscent of Ivo Andrić..." Project Signs by the Roadside
