Traditional support for under prepared students has existed at NEIU in the form of writing, math, and tutoring centers, and developmental courses. In addition, there is a special support program for some Latino/Latina students called Proyecto Palante and one for some African American students called Project Success, both of which are equipped to admit students who do not meet the NEIU admission requirements.
