FY 2004 End of Year Status (National): Approximately 76% of country covered (44 states) with 85% of funding 160 reports & publications Released V 2.0 of the National Field Guide

Availability of State FIA Data, November 2004 Age of the most recent data available to the public in online FIA databases.

FY 2004 End of Year Status (National): Tested and presented the utility of approximate coordinates for mill studies and biomass. The results demonstrated the utility of the publicly available coordinates to deliver valid analysis. Implement a final protocol for vegetative diversity as a final test where funding permits. Core FIA data loaded into FSVeg.

FY 2004 End of Year Status (National): Involved in numerous cooperative projects: Fire risk and treatment opportunity analysis. Insect and disease risk mapping. National land cover mapping. National, regional assessments. Applications of NASA technology.

FY 2005 Status (PNW): 61 % of Region implemented Coastal Alaska, California, Oregon, Washington, FSM 80 % Funded ($3 million increase in FY06) Consistent field manual for AK, CA, OR, WA Extensive QA of NIMS compilation process & review by States.
