STRATEGIC PRIORITIES FOR THE AGENDA FOR PROSPERITY(2013-2017) ROAD TRANSPORT SECTOR Develop the road traffic crashes Data base Achievement of the five pillars on the UN Decade of Action for road safety, reducing road traffic crashes to 50% by 2015 Nationwide vehicle testing using modern testing equipment Introduction of Road Safety Curricula in schools Introduction of Public Haulage Services Development of National Transport Policy and Urban Mobility Plan Introduction of school bus services Introduction of bus services for the physically challenged Introduction of luxury coaches Achievement of the national road safety policy and strategic plans Introduction of provincial city bus services

STRATEGIC PRIORITIES FOR THE AGENDA FOR PROSPERITY(2013-2017) RAIL TRANSPORTATION SECTOR Conduct nationwide feasibility study for the reintroduction of public railway transportation services Expansion of private rail way services(mining companies) to service other parts of the country to enhance transportation of passengers and goods

POTENTIAL FLAGSHIP PROJECTS/PROGRAMMES FOR THE AGENDA FOR PROSPERITY(2013-2017) ROAD TRANSPORTATION SECTOR Reduction of road traffic crashes to 50% by 2015 Expand public transport network to all towns Construction of roads for national and regional connectivity MARINE TRANSPORTATION SECTOR Construction of a new port in the south of Sierra Leone Expansion of the existing port. Complete the transformation of the port from a service port to a landlord port. Establish a shipping line carrying the national flag through public private partnership.
