CAUSES OF WORLD WAR II

Cause #1 Germany Rearmament

Cause #1 Germany Rearmament Hitler ignores the Treaty of Versailles and builds up the German military.

Cause #1 Germany Rearmament The Treaty of Versailles was the agreement that ended WWI!

Cause #1 Germany Rearmament According to the Treaty of Versailles Germany was supposed to have NO TANKS, NO SUBMARINES, NO AIRPLANES, AND AN ARMY OF ONLY 100,000 OR LESS!

Cause #1 Germany Rearmament By 1935 Hitler had 300,000 men in his army along with over 2,500 warplanes. Take a look at the German war machine German Military Might

Cause #2 League of Nations The League of Nations was set up after WWI by Woodrow Wilson of the United States.

Cause #8: Nazi/Soviet Non Aggression Pact In 1939 Germany and the Soviet Union signed a non-aggression pact. Non-Aggression: Promise not to fight each other.

Cause #8: Nazi/Soviet Non Aggression Pact The pact promised not to invade each other. The pact was signed one week before World War II started.
