England Fights Over Who Will Be King Wars of the Roses: York (white rose) and Lancaster (red rose) families fighting over who should be king Lancasters won, and the Tudors become kings. Henry VII becomes king, makes England stable and rich, and here comes the Renaissance

Henry VIII, Elizabeth, and the Renaissance Henry VIII encouraged arts, literature, learning, and parties English nobles look to Italy for the new fads and fashions Henry’s daughter, Elizabeth became queen. During her long reign she really brought the Renaissance to England Elizabeth traveled through England a lot, so local artists would paint, write songs and poems, and throw banquets for her Many people in England learned how to play instruments and sing songs
