Presentation transcript:

MAKING THE SEA VIEW TELESCOPE You Will Need: * coloured paper cups (green, blue and pink available) * white card (will be rolled up into a tube) *clear wrap (the kind you use for gifts), to put over the end of the tube for a sea picture * glass pens * tape * stuff to decorate the outside of the telescope (sticky back foam sheets, stickers, foam mosaic squares)

On the clear wrap that has been cut into a circle – have the kids draw a picture/scene. A ship floating in the water, a desert island, or a lighthouse, or seabirds, or whatever else they like! 2. Take the card and roll it into a tube and tape.

3. Now place the paper tube on the bottom of the cup and trace around the roll and cut that circle out so the roll can fit through the cup. 4. Place the funky foam sheet around the paper tube to decorate and use the extra that sticks up to roll over and stick the clear paper circles with their scene onto it. This serves a dual purpose – the rolled over sticky foam will prevent the paper tube from coming out the end too.

5. Now it’s time to decorate 5. Now it’s time to decorate! Paint your telescope, add sticky-backed fun foam to jazz it up, add a skull and bones, sequins, rick-rack, or other stickers etc.
