Elements of fiction Point of View: who is telling the story? First Person: Narrator participates in the story (I, We, Me) Second Person: very rarely used, narrator is talking about the reader (you)

Third Person Point of View (Pov) Third Person: narrator is not in the story, they are an outside voice (she, he, they, Jackson) - Objective: The narrator tells the story without any inside information into the character’s thoughts or feelings - Limited: The narrators knows the inner feelings or thoughts of a limited amount of characters (not all) - omniscient: The narrator knows the inner thoughts or feelings of all characters
