The Age of Imperialism

Imperialism The takeover of a country or territory by a stronger nation with the intent of dominating the political, economic, and social life of the people of that land.

African Imperialism Until the late 1800s Europeans were discouraged from conquering Africa by Malaria, impassable rivers and powerful African armies.
