CONFIDENTIAL & PROPRIETARY 2018 Cookie Program CONFIDENTIAL & PROPRIETARY

Steps to a Successful Booth Sale Paperwork Important Dates Agenda Phases of the sale Steps to a Successful Booth Sale Paperwork Important Dates Operation Cookie Rewards & Rebates Holding a Parent Meeting It’s all about girls! As cookie entrepreneurs, girls learn essential life skills that last far beyond cookie season. They discover hidden talents and get to practice a lifetime of leadership skills that will carry them far into every stage of life. Our Little Brownie Cookie Program has so many creative resources to support girls of every age and councils at every stage of the Girl Scout Cookie Sale

Phases of the Sale Initial Sale – Orders placed between January 2 and February 2 that are entered into the eBudde website are considered your initial sale. (There is a special incentive at this level!) These orders will be delivered to your Service Unit Cookie Chair. You will coordinate with them product pick-up. Catch Up Orders – From February 3 through May 14, girls will continue to take orders with their order cards. These orders need to be picked up at a local cupboard. Cupboard locations and hours of operation are located on our website and in your guidebook. You will not be entering these orders into the eBudde website. GSSC will enter these orders into eBudde for you. You can then go in and assign the product to the girls. (Learn how to allocate product to girls at www.gssc.us.) Booth Sales/Walk-Abouts – From February 2 through May 13, troops can host a booth sale at locations deemed safe by their Service Unit and GSSC. Please speak to your Service Unit Cookie Chair or visit www.gssc.us for a list of locations in your Service Unit.

CONFIRM YOUR SERVICE UNIT’S BOOTH SALE PROCEDURE FIRST! Booth Sales Steps to a Successful Booth Sale: CONFIRM YOUR SERVICE UNIT’S BOOTH SALE PROCEDURE FIRST! 1- Call the facility where you would like to have a booth sale and obtain permission from the manager. Confirm your date and time. 2- Contact your Service Unit Cookie Chair with your troop’s location, date and time of your booth sale. 3- Reserve your booth sale at least one week in advance by calling the cupboard from which you will be retrieving your product, or reserve online at www.gssc.us. This year cookie sales are in the house. It’s a friends and family cookie party! Girls have fun together planning an in-home cookie sales party and invite their friends and family learn about their big goals for the season and support their dreams by buying cases of cookies. Girls promote the yearlong recipes for enjoying their cookie purchases. A great way for troops to supercharge their cookie sales.

Digital Order Card Digital Order Card (DOC) - This year, girls will be able to sell cookies online using the Digital Order Card. Girls create a custom website and send out a link to their site via email to potential customers. Customers can order cookies and have them shipped to them, have them girl-delivered or choose to donate the cookies to the Operation: Cookie Program.

Parent/Guardian Agreement Outstanding Debt Collection Form The Parent/Guardian Agreement is the most important form regarding the troop. If a family does not pay for product received, you must retain a signed copy of this form to relieve the troop of the debt. The Outstanding Debt Collection Form is used when a family does not pay for all the product you have given to them. It must be completed and accompanied by a signed Parent/Guardian Agreement, and then sent to the Commack Main Office. It’s all about girls! As cookie entrepreneurs, girls learn essential life skills that last far beyond cookie season. They discover hidden talents and get to practice a lifetime of leadership skills that will carry them far into every stage of life. Our Little Brownie Cookie Program has so many creative resources to support girls of every age and councils at every stage of the Girl Scout Cookie Sale All forms are available on the GSSC website, www.gssc.us, under “Cookies & More.”

ACH Attachment Form GSSC will be direct depositing your troop’s rebate into your troop checking account. This form needs to be completed if it hasn’t been done already for the Fall Campaign. We only need one filled out per Girl Scout year unless any information has changed. You can print it from our website www.gssc.us. By entering the contest girls get a chance to unlock an awesome limited edition cookie pro patch, a Chance to win an all-expense-paid trip to NYC for recognition as a Cookie Pro, and to be featured on our iconic cookie packages!

Record keeping is essential to a successful Cookie Program! Receipt Books We will be providing every troop with receipt books to use to track transactions between the troop and the families. Complete these every time a parent picks up product from you or gives you any form of payment. Record keeping is essential to a successful Cookie Program! It’s all about girls! Special Booth Patch Weekends Hold a booth sale during these weekends, sell 170+ boxes, and earn these special patches! February 2-4 – “Froze Your Cookies Off” February 23-25 – National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend March 9-11 – “Have No Fear, Cookies Are Here!” April 27-29 – Turtely Awesome Cookie May 4-6 – May The Fourth Be With You

Operation:Cookie Operation:Cookie affords customers the opportunity to send cookies to U.S. military. The troops collect $4 from customers who’d like to donate. Troops can add the donations to the eBudde website for the initial order phase. Or, the troop can collect the funds at a booth sale and enter the Operation:Cookie donations when assigning the cookies from the booth sale to the girls. At the end of the sale, GSSC tallies the number of donations and delivers them to different military locations. Your assistance in sending care packages to your friends and family who are serving is also appreciated. This year cookie sales are in the house. It’s a friends and family cookie party! The Cookie Product Program is cumulative up to the 350+ level Rewards The Cookie Product Program is cumulative up to the 350+ level For example: If a girl sells 100 boxes, she is entitled to all prizes leading up to and including the 100 level. The only item that needs to be chosen is the t-shirt size if that level is attained. Once a premium level is hit, the girl may shop with her points. For example, if she has sold 1000 boxes of cookies she can choose two 500+ level rewards or one 1000+ level reward. Rebates The troop will receive a rebate for each box sold. This rebate will be direct deposited to the troop’s bank account. Be sure to fill out and send in the ACH attachment form to GSSC. Without this on file, rebates cannot be issued. For every box sold, the troop will receive $0.60. Cadette Troops and older have the option to forgo the rewards and receive an extra $0.05 per box. By entering the contest girls get a chance to unlock an awesome limited edition cookie pro patch, a Chance to win an all-expense-paid trip to NYC for recognition as a Cookie Pro, and to be featured on our iconic cookie packages!

Holding a Parent Meeting CONFIDENTIAL & PROPRIETARY

Steps to a Successful Parent Meeting Step 1 – Visit a troop meeting to help the girls set a troop goal. Step 2 – Have the parents arrive for pick up 15-20 minutes early. * Get a signed permission slip from each parent. * Hand out order cards and money envelopes. * Explain the difference between a promise order, paper order and a shipped order. * Give parents the deadline to return the order card. Tell them you will email them a reminder a few days before they’re due. Step 3 - Be sure to share your contact information with the parents! It’s all about girls! As cookie entrepreneurs, girls learn essential life skills that last far beyond cookie season. They discover hidden talents and get to practice a lifetime of leadership skills that will carry them far into every stage of life.
