”the 2nd C” : PR as an opportunity Implement appropriate legal, administrative and financial measures necessary for the protection of the WH properties Adopte new laws and regulations to strengthen heritage protection, or ensure their more systematic application Establish institutional coordination system, including inter- ministerial and interprofessional mechanism of cooperation Establish integrated management process for WH properties Establish and give legal meaning to WH Management Plans Ensure that Management Plans are recognised in national and local planning laws Prepare or implement management plans for properties Secure appropriate governmental funding (through the national budget) Ensure regular and systematic monitoring of the overall state of conservation of properties

Please indicate current National Heritage Strategies, Policies and/or Programmes. Do these strategies or programmes relate to the sustainable protection of cultural and natural heritage? Are these strategies or programmes structured according to the Strategic Objectives of the World Heritage Committee (Credibility, Conservation, Capacity building, Communication and Communities)? What steps have been taken by your authorities to integrate the protection of World Heritage properties into these national programmes / annual work plan and budget provision / strategies?
