Weekly Learning Goals/Objectives Week of Aug. 29 Auxier Elementary Inspiring the Leader Within Weekly Learning Goals/Objectives Reading: Journeys Story: “Gus Takes the Train” (Fantasy) Essential Q: “What happens on a train?” Grammar: Adjectives Writing: Complete Sentences (5 Star Writing) “When I grow up…” writing Science: Map Skills Math: Lessons 10-13 Leader in Me: Habit 1: Be Proactive Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind A Note From Your Teacher… Decodable Readers: Goal is fluency and comprehension. Please work with your child Monday- Thursday to master these goals! Please take a look at our donorchoice project: at www.donorschoice.com and then search my name Mrs. Corman. We have a great opportunity to get Weekly Readers to learn about science and social studies. Keep a look out for the SignUpGenuis for volunteering. Helping with students practicing their decodable readers, word list and copies if needed. READ-A-THON: Sept. 1: Packets will come home! September 4-11: Students Read! September 12-16: Turn in pledge forms/reading logs September 16th: Last day to turn in reading logs Many prizes to be given out (see below)! Raise $30+ Most Minutes Read Most Money Specials Rotation Monday 8/29 — Day 3 P.E. Tuesday 8/30 —Day 4 Music Wednesday 8/31 —Day 5 Library Thursday 8/25 —Day 6 P.E.
