Member States and Associated Counties automatically receive funding Non-European (Third)Countries: High-Income Counties (now includes BRICs) don’t automatically get funding – can participate, but pay their own way A list of Third countries who automatically get funding is in Annex A to the Horizon 2020 Work Programme.

Now Decide which RISE you will target: International, Inter-sectoral or a combination Start forming your consortium, or seek to join one “under formation” Apply to Enterprise Ireland for travel funding to meet partners Look at the websites of previously-funded projects (find them on CORDIS Projects) Decide on a writing strategy (e.g. lead writing partner, split the sections amongst the partners, how to receive input from others) If coordinating, apply to EI for Coordinator Support Funding.
