Level 3: For 100 Students Group Project Objectives To provide a platform for the children to exhibit their Creativity and Innovativeness To understand social /day to day life issues systematically To learn the importance of team work To improve documentation and presentation skills

Group Project Activity Details A group of 10 students will work on one topic with 2/3(Facilitator/Mentor) Activity interaction, guidance and monitoring by experts Identified Areas/ Topics for Group Project: Waste/Garbage Management in residential area Food Habits Water Audit Traffic Control Changing Entertainment Concepts

Scheduling of Activity Introduction of group members Formation of group of parents for communication and assistance in project activity along with group Mentor/Facilitator Defining Scope of Project Action plan preparation with time line Field activity Preparation of Project report+ Power point presentation and viva (Project submission Date : 4th November 2017 PPT presentation and viva on : 11th November 2017 )

Guidelines for Group Project Overall Project activity should be simple , more interactive and fact finding Project report copy should be in black and white print Evaluation : Individual Assessment by Mentor 10 Mark + 20 Viva individual (by judges panel) + 20 team assessment (by judges panel)

What is a good project? problem undertaken *Reflecting proper understanding and definition of the problem undertaken *Reflecting quality, quantity and team effort and also effort to validate the data collected *Relevance of the work to the community/school problem and Impact on neighbourhood *Originality, innovativeness and creativity shown to Understand the problem and find solution (methodology, experimentation, etc.

Structure of the project report The structure project report is as follow- Cover page – must incorporate Title of the project Name and address of members Name and address of guide, mentor Abstract- in 250 words Contents – list of chapter with detail heading and sub-heading, list of table, chart, maps, etc. along with references against page numbers

Structure of the project report Introduction – description on background of the study Aims and objectives of the study Work plan Observations Data analysis and interpretation Result and Conclusions Acknowledgement References

Oral Presentation and Viva Effective communication during presentation 1. Objectives 2. Observation and finding 3. Way and approach to solve the problem 4. Time limit – 10 minutes for a group of 10 students 5. Viva of Group to assess team work and individual contribution
