The Questions There are FOUR tasks – the order and type of task may vary. i.e. There could be a task to test your knowledge and research of with anything to do with TV news. This may be discussion based and cover things such as news gathering, bias and impartiality as well as looking at the different platforms TV News can be accessed on. You may be asked to write a pitch/proposal and provide justification for a new TV news programme aimed at a specific audience. This may include suggesting presenters, content and a style for the intended audience. You could be asked to carry out a production task – it could be to create a running order for your new TV news programme, or maybe storyboard the title sequence, or even write a script for one of the news stories.

Quick Quiz What key concepts will you look at? What is the topic area of study? How long is the exam? How many weeks in advance do you get the brief? What happens once you get the brief? How many questions are you required to answer? How many marks can you get overall? At this moment in time, do you have any questions?
