TEL TEL means technology-enhanced learning TEL programme were four key research themes namely Flexibility, Inclusion, Personalisation and Productivity. To these have been added another key theme Research Community.

CBI CBI means computer-based instruction The large storage and calculating capacities of the computer suggest great potential for its use in the classroom. It can give instructions to the learner, call for responses, feed back the results, and modify his further learning accordingly. The computer can also be used to measure each student’s attainments, compare them with past performances, and then advise teachers on what parts of the curriculum they should follow next.

CBT CBT means computer-based training A type of education in which the student learns by executing special training programs on a computer. CBT is especially effective for training people to use computer applications because the CBT program can be integrated with the applications so that students can practice using the application as they learn. Computer-Based Training (CBT) is an interactive method of learning that provides a series of self-paced, hands-on, web-based courses. CBT offers technology, managerial, and supervisory curricula. Technology curricula contain courses for IT beginners and IT professionals. Technology courses include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.), Macromedia, Adobe, Security, Internet (Internet basics, How to create a Web page, etc.), and more advanced topics such as JavaScript, C , LINUX, Servers, and open systems. Managerial and Supervisory curricula contain courses for Business Skills, Human Resource, and Workplace Compliance. Some of these courses include Communication, Diversity, Leadership, and Team Building.

CAI CAI means. computer-aided instruction Computer-Aided Instruction (CAI), diverse and rapidly expanding spectrum of computer technologies that assist the teaching and learning process. CAI is also known as computer-assisted instruction. Examples of CAI applications include guided drill and practice exercises, computer visualization of complex objects, and computer-facilitated communication between students and teachers.

IBT IBT means internet-based training

WBT WBT means web-based training The Web-Based Training Information Center (WBTIC) is a free information resource for anyone interested in developing and delivering online learning. Here you will find articles about Web-based training and e-learning industry trends. You can participate in surveys and you can find links to other valuable resources. Web-based training (sometimes called e-learning) is anywhere, any-time instruction delivered over the Internet or a corporateintranet to browser-equipped learners. There are two primary models of Web-based instruction: synchronous (instructor-facilitated) and asynchronous (self-directed, self-paced). Instruction can be delivered by a combination of static methods (learning portals, hyperlinked pages, screen cam tutorials, streaming audio/video, and live Web broadcasts) and interactive methods (threaded discussions, chats, and desk-top video conferencing).
