NCHS FFA 2017-2018

What is FFA? A student lead organization across America that provides hands-on learning experiences in career development, leadership, and agriculture.

Why FFA? Career Success Public Relations Community Service Students gain speaking skills, responsibility, and hands-on experiences that help them prepare for their future career. FFA helps students get out of their comfort zones and see what all our community has to offer by speaking with our town leaders and completing community service projects. Northwest participates in many different community service activities. One of our favorites is traveling to Big Elm’s nursing home and playing bingo with the residents.

What do we focus on? This year Northwest wants to work towards improving our community and helping students understand where their food comes from.

Why was I told to bring in canned food? The NCHS FFA chapter has worked with Main Street Missions located in China grove. Main Street Missions is a food pantry that is helping local families afford meals. We asked for you to bring in canned food items so we can dominate them to the food pantry. We will continue to work with them throughout the rest of the year!!
