1 AMA Executive Board Positions

2 President 1.Ensure the Chapter is moving in the right direction to accomplish it’s Vision 2.Run Executive meetings and keep Exec officers accountable for their work 3.Network with other clubs and community leaders to get our name out there and open up further opportunities for our members 4.Update the Constitution and Bylaws

3 Director of Internal Events Directs the Event Planning Committee to plan all meetings throughout the year Includes: Getting incredible speakers to present Working out any logistics to accommodate the speaker Setting up tours to some of Cincinnati’s top companies Creating skill building workshops for members to improve their soft and hard skillsets, to make them more employable.

4 Director of External Events Directs the planning and logistics of our two biggest events throughout the year: Marketing Week and the Regional Conference. Marketing Week: Occurs in October Every day of that week, AMA puts on a different marketing or business activity for all business majors to participate in. Past examples have been speakers from P&G and Luxottica, networking sessions, dining etiquette seminars, etc. Regional Conference: Occurs in the spring The conference is 1 full Saturday, full of insightful speakers from Cincinnati’s top companies sharing the newest trends in marketing and how you can better market yourself

5 Director of Membership Ensures all of our members feel valued and making them aware of numerous internal and external events that occur. 1.Find ways to recruit new members along with the Director of Marketing, and then find fun ways to retain them 2.Plan socials for all of our members, as well as for the exec board specifically 3.Work with members to complete our Chapter Plan and Annual Report, the two forms that count most towards the awards we apply for at the end of the year 4.Find small ways to make members feel special, like celebrating their birthday! 5.Track member attendance, and email members each week regarding our meetings and any new opportunities

6 Director of Competitive Events 1.Work with members to complete the National Case Study Competition. In these recent years we have been semi-finalists and finalists among all of the AMA chapters across the country. The Case Study is an opportunity to create a marketing plan for a top US company (last year was Hershey!) to help them sell more product or rebrand. 2.Also runs the Marketing Olympics, a business role play competition for Lindner students, similar to DECA for high school. 3.Gets members to sign up for other competitions put on by UC and AMA Nationals, as well as help plan the annual conference to New Orleans where we compete every year.

7 Director of Marketing 1.Markets AMA to Lindner to increase our membership 2.Markets the larger meetings to all Lindner Students 3.Does all the marketing for the Marketing Week and Regional Conference 4.Runs the social media and website 5.Finds other non-digital ways to market us, such as fliers, tabling, creating slogans or a mascot, etc.

8 Director of Finance Deals with the money for all of the events throughout the year Turns in budgets to the University Funding Board to receive money for our main events, such as Marketing Week, Regional Conference, and meetings. Does all major financial planning for the New Orleans conference, including renting a car, getting hotels, registering members, etc. Finds other fundraising opportunities for us to raise extra money. Examples could include food sales, asking for donations, working events, etc.
