1. Survey respondents 142 EDC responded: 36 % of the EDC network members

2. Use of Social Media 41 % of EDCs is involved in social media. Facebook is most used.

2.2 Why do you not use it? Lack of human resources and time are the main factors

2.5 Are your activities successful? YES: We reach a wider audience inside the university (students) and outside the university, (young people). NO or NOT SURE: One-way communication, difficult to monitor feedback.

3. EDCs and e-books The majority of EDC respondents provide access to

3.1 EDCs and the EU Bookshop More than half of the respondents provide access to e-books However, quite a large number of EDCs (43 %) does not provide this service

3.2 Access to scholars’ digital repositories ? YES, quite a large number (70%) of EDCs do provide access to e-books and/or e-articles from scholars’ digital repositories.

3.3 What are the best sources?
