BLACK BEARS By Spencer Jumper

Black Bears are awesome!  I love black bears! Black bears are big animals. They can live anywhere. I am going to tell you all about black bears! I’m going tell you about their teeth and what their habitat is. So sit back and relax and you’ll probably learn more about bears than you ever did! 

FACT Black bears are cousins with grizzlies

Black bears mostly live in the United States! Don’t kill black bears!!

FACT Male bears are mostly called boars. Female bears are called sows.

FACT Black bears mostly weigh about 375 pounds

FACT Not all black bears are black. Most are black with brownish muzzle and a white throat patch or other white chest marks.

FACT Bears talk? Bears talk with growls, whines, and sniffs

FACT Black bears climb up trees so they will get out of danger.

FACT Bears eat meat and plants. It has a diet Its diet is plants, roots, grains, and fruit. They also eat a lot of fish for their dinners!

FACT Bears have two different teeth. They have sharp pointed teeth to grind up meat. Broad flat teeth grind up tough plants.

FACT Cubs start to walk. Their front two legs are stronger than the other two back legs. The back legs kind of drag.
